Doug Myers was born in California, raised in Oregon, and in Southern California and Washington State served professionally as a licensed counseling therapist with agencies and in private practice settings. Doug completed graduate studies in Southern California where he earned a master's degree in theology and a doctorate degree in counseling psychology. 

 

In Southern California he worked in a holistic care setting as a counseling therapist for the Beverly Hills Doctors Hospital. While working in the Seattle area he received additional post-graduate training with the Institute for Bio-Energetic analysis of New York.  Doug served as Director of Family Court while working with divorcing couples and families, and consultant to the Court of Domestic Relations in Washington State. He later worked in private practice while encouraging greater insight and emotional growth.
